This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with 3+ years’ experience to take ownership of smaller projects, from inspection and analysis through to detailed structural design. You’ll work across a range of buildings and infrastructure schemes, collaborating closely with contractors, architects, and fellow engineers.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Independently deliver structural design and analysis for smaller-scale projects.
  • Run and manage small projects from conception to completion.
  • Prepare and check design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and supporting documents.
  • Use industry software such as TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer to develop models and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with H&S procedures and contribute to a high standard of compliance.
  • Present technical work clearly and confidently.
What we’re looking for:
  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ UK industry experience.
  • Proficiency in TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar tools.
  • A good understanding of UK design standards and project delivery processes.
  • Someone actively working towards Chartership (CEng) via ICE or IStructE.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence (desirable).
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
What’s on offer:
  • Salary: Competitive (depending on experience).
  • Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday-Friday | Flexible and Hybrid working.
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays (increasing with length of service).
  • Training: Ongoing support and development, including Chartership mentoring.
  • Location: Office-based in Trowbridge, with occasional travel.

If you’re looking to join a supportive team and work on meaningful structural engineering projects in the South West, we’d love to hear from you.
