Job summary

North Sea Operator in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the development and implementation of structural integrity strategies for offshore assets. You will work with operations, maintenance, and projects to drive risk-based decisions ensuring safety and performance.

The role requires Chartered status or progress toward chartership, with strong communication skills and a track record in addressing complex structural challenges in the UK North Sea environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant structural engineering experience in UK oil & gas, offshore assets preferred.
• Strong understanding of asset integrity management and risk-based inspection practices.
• Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements, codes and standards; chartered status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for structural integrity across operated assets.
• Lead development and implementation of structural integrity strategies and programmes.
• Identify and communicate structural risks to support risk-based decisions.
• Provide guidance on compliance, defect management, repair strategies and life-extension activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, maintenance, projects and integrity disciplines.
• Engage regulators and external specialists to ensure regulatory compliance.
