A client within the Public Sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an engineering environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to deliver and manage a full range of professional assignments within structural engineering, providing technical expertise, advice, and project support to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional requirements.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering professional structural engineering assignments and advice to meet service requirements.
  • Providing specialist technical guidance to colleagues, stakeholders and external partners.
  • Planning, managing and delivering small/medium projects and contributing to larger programmes.
  • Identifying opportunities for service and process improvements within engineering practice.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with other agencies and providers to ensure joined-up service delivery.

The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require a formal professional qualification within structural or civil engineering and significant experience in a similar role or demonstrable professional-level vocational experience. The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Knowledge of professional, statutory and regulatory frameworks within structural engineering.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff and influence others through effective relationship building.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £45.00 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £33-£34 per hour PAYE).
