Job description

We are pleased to be recruiting a structural engineer or senior structural engineer on behalf of a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy in Leeds. This role is to assist in dealing with an increase in workload and the further development and expansion of the team, which is responsible for the structural design of buildings in the commercial, industrial, health, leisure, retail, and residential development sectors.

About you and the role

• You will be a structural engineer ideally with 2-5 years of design experience
• Have well-rounded design experience with new build projects and refurbishments, proficient in the design of all structural materials
• Experience in the preparation of calculation packages to assist other team members
• Experience in the preparation of structural engineering inspection reports on a variety of building types and/or structures, which may involve long-distance travel across the UK
• Proficiency in design software such as Tekla and Tedds
• Ideally be chartered or near-chartered, or have aspirations to be chartered
