Overview

Structural Engineer – A fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join a professional engineering team delivering a wide range of civil and building projects. This role offers hands-on project leadership, design responsibility, and exposure to varied construction environments.

Salary: up to £55,000 per annum + Benefits

Location: You can work remotely. But need to be commutable to the office in Warwick, Warwickshire for occasional meetings etc.

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Structural Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of civil and building engineering projects across multiple sectors.

As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality structural designs, calculations, and drawings, while working closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

This Structural Engineer role offers excellent career development, exposure to lead real projects, and the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise across concrete, steel, and timber design.

You will be primarily office-based, with regular site visits required to support project delivery and coordination.

Duties
  • Structural Design and Modelling: Creating detailed structural drawings and models using CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
  • Engineering Calculations: Producing comprehensive structural calculations in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Project Coordination: Collaborating with project managers and construction teams to resolve technical challenges and coordinate designs
  • Project Tracking: Using project management tools to monitor progress, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Technical Compliance: Reviewing specifications and reports to ensure designs meet client briefs, codes, and regulations
  • Documentation Support: Assisting with technical reports, documentation, and client presentations
Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in civil or structural engineering design within the construction or engineering sector
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, TEDDS, Tekla, or similar design tools
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete, steel, and timber design principles
  • A solid understanding of structural analysis, mathematical principles, and engineering calculations
  • Experience managing multiple projects with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Desirable

  • Experience with project management methodologies and associated software
  • Knowledge of geotechnical analysis and construction processes
  • A background in civil infrastructure or building construction projects
