Job Title: Structural Engineer

Location: Hull

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, assessing, and overseeing structural projects across a range of sectors. You'll work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structural components for buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects
  • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
  • Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Proven experience in structural design and analysis
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and Eurocodes
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Desirable
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or IStructE)
  • Experience in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry design
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and collaborative design environments
