Structural Engineer — Epsom outskirts

£45k-£55k DOE plus benefits

Our client is an established firm who offer professional civil and structural engineering services to a broad range of clients.

Their structures team has a requirement for a structural engineer on a full-time permanent basis to assist with structural design calculations and drawings on projects up to £5m in value.

Responsibilities
  • Be a confident engineer able to review work by other members of the team for licences, whilst managing projects and liaising with internal and external teams.
  • Supervision / inspection of structural works on site, including all traditional materials.
  • Carry out structural inspections of buildings failures and provide reports.
  • Work on building structures design and have a working knowledge of building defects with the ability to assess the specification of repairs for damage such as subsidence, fire damage and vehicle impact damage.
  • Assess buildings suffering structural distress, identifying cause and extent including subsidence, roof spread, fire damage, explosion, overloading and deleterious material failure.
Qualifications
  • Degree in structural engineering
  • Keen to become Chartered MIStructE
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence to attend site visits
