You will like the Consulting in structural engineering from Bridgend/Cardiff HQ with flexible/hybrid working, for a reputable consulting engineering firm majoring in civil & structural engineering for building/construction.

The company provides practical, high-quality, and cost-effective engineering services across the UK, supporting a wide range of private and public sector projects in residential, commercial, industrial, and leisure sectors.

If you’re the right person, London & Manchester could also work as your primary office location.

You will like the Structural Engineer role itself, where you will be responsible for structural design and analysis, overseeing drawing production, and coordinating with clients, architects, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. More specifically:

  • Undertake structural calculations and analysis across various materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Produce and revise structural designs in line with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with the CAD team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical drawings.
  • Liaise directly with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable design codes, including British Standards and Eurocodes.

You will have the following qualities to be successful as a Structural Engineer:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and calculation methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software; familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience across various project types and sectors is desirable.
