Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers seeks a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead a diverse project portfolio from design through to completion. You will manage graduates, liaise with clients and contractors, and oversee multi-disciplinary coordination to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

The role requires chartered status, a BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering, and at least five years' post-graduate experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Office tools.

Qualifications

Chartered Structural Engineer status required.
BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum five years' post-graduate experience in a similar environment.
Proven design experience across common building materials to current codes.
Competent structural assessment of existing buildings.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Full current driving licence or equivalent access to transport.

Responsibilities

Lead from design through to completion with autonomy.
Manage graduate engineers and technicians; primary client contact.
Coordinate project teams and resources; ensure on-time delivery within budget.
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality assurance.
Identify and mitigate risks; forecast fees and project invoicing.
Mentor graduates and junior engineers; contribute to business development.
