Job summary

HIE Education Limited are looking to recruit a Secondary RE Teacher to teach French for 3-4 days per week at a comprehensive secondary school in Stroud. The successful candidate will provide engaging lessons, manage pupil progress, and contribute to department priorities.

The post runs from Oct 2026 to Dec 2026 with the possibility of extension. The role covers KS3 and KS4 French (RE experience is desirable) and may include some KS5 exposure depending on timetable and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching French or RE to secondary students.
• Ability to engage students and assess progress.
• Flexible availability for 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to KS3/KS4 French/RE as required.
• Plan and differentiate lessons to meet student needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to assessments.

This role may continue but this is the initial requirement. This will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 RE. KS5 experience would be very desirable. If you can start earlier this may be useful.

The Stroud secondary school does have some flexibility. They are considering French teachers who can do both part time and full time.
