Position

We are looking for a specialist nurse to join our Stroke Practitioner and Specialist Nurse Team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about delivering high quality care to patients whilst empowering them to manage their condition.

Extensive transformation work has taken place to develop a fully merged University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust Stroke Service, providing high quality stroke specialist care for Poole and Bournemouth patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a team based in Bournemouth, sharing stroke expertise with colleagues and supporting those with less experience to build their specialist skills.
  • Support the development of the service alongside the Team Leader and Stroke Nurse Practitioner colleagues, in line with national guidelines and clinical best practice.
  • Contribute to an innovative, collaborative approach with key professionals in the wider team.
  • Participate in a shared rota, including weekend and bank holiday working.
  • Maintain an active UK NMC or HCP registration and meet associated professional standards.
Contract Details

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Fixed Term contract of 9 months / Secondment Opportunity.
