Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust in Plymouth is seeking a full-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to rotate across stroke and neurology services. The post covers Acute Stroke Unit, Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Neurosurgery/ICU, Community Neuro Rehabilitation and Plym Neuro Rehabilitation, with a 37.5-hour week on a 7-day rota and MDT involvement.

Experience in Stroke/Neurology and HCPC registration are essential, along with a flexible approach to a 7-day service.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio.
• Wheelchair accreditation or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessment, treatment and management for stroke/neurology patients within MDT.
• Plan, deliver and review treatment programmes with patients, carers and family.
• Supervise Band 5 OTs and OT students; support staff within the team.
• Contribute to clinical governance and supervision activities.
