Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join the Stroke and Neuro team at St Margaret's Hospital. You will support rehabilitation for patients on the ward and in the community, under supervision of therapists, across West Essex.

The role requires NHS environment experience, a flexible approach, and a valid driving licence with car access. You will work alongside therapy, medical and nursing staff to enable patient-centred recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare as an assistant.
• Flexible, with good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative in busy environments.
• Must have a current driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate rehabilitation under supervision of therapy staff for stroke and neuro patients.
• Assist planning, delivery and evaluation of rehabilitation activities.
• Support patients toward independence and goal-centred outcomes.
• Work across ward and community settings as part of Early Supported Discharge.
• Assist team in daily operations and patient care tasks.
