Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Therapy Team on the stroke ward. You will support Clinical Leads and Team Leaders in delivering OT interventions and contribute to service development.

This permanent role requires NHS experience and participation in a 7-day service, including weekend working. You will manage a specialist caseload, work autonomously, educate staff, and help discharge planning for stroke and

Qualifications

Must have experience in the NHS at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Act as a specialist clinician for OT with stroke and neuro patients.
Develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes and provide specialist advice.

Responsibilities

Act as a specialist clinician for OT service with stroke and neuro patients, contributing to best practice.
Manage own specialist caseload in stroke and neuro OT.
Work autonomously within Trust policies and professional practice, keeping up-to-date records.
Carry out specialist assessment and treatment to facilitate safe, timely discharges and transfer of care.
Develop, deliver, implement and modify treatment programmes and provide specialist advice, liaising with other agencies.
Participate in education and training of OT and healthcare staff including medical staff.
Support the Clinical Lead in the day-to-day running of the Rehabilitation Team.
Support and advise within the wider MDT on service delivery.
