Qualifications

About the Opportunity

At Airbus, the world's leading aircraft manufacturer, we're looking for a passionate Stress Engineer to join our A220 Fuselage Analysis Engineering Team in Belfast. You'll work alongside the assembly line, seeing the impact of your work every day, and be part of a supportive team of technical specialists and engineering leads who are dedicated to finding innovative solutions for Airbus products.

What You'll Do
  • Carry out static structural analysis on both composite and metallic aircraft components.
  • Analyse and validate metallic, composite, and hybrid structures at component level for static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance.
  • Produce strength margins or reserve factors using validated Airbus methods and sizing processes.
  • Provide stress analyses for the repair and acceptance of metallic, composite, and hybrid structures.
  • Ensure all work meets airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures.
  • Collaborate closely with other stress analysts and the wider Plant Engineering Team.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong experience in stress engineering-experience is valued over formal qualifications.
  • Ideally, previous T400 Concessions Approval (but we welcome applicants with relevant stress and/or concessions experience, even if you don't currently hold this approval).
  • Experience with aircraft (civil or military) or relevant product knowledge.
  • A passion for technical problem-solving and teamwork.
