  • Lead a team of static stress engineers to perform static strength analysis for metallic and composite repair designs, ensuring adherence to airworthiness regulations.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to Airbus internal teams, including offshore teams, and sub-contract suppliers.

  • Lead packages of work and integrate with Design and Fatigue and Damage Tolerance teams for major incidents or complex activities as necessary.

  • Develop methods and processes for repair analysis, working with method experts and tool owners to enhance the capability of the repair teams.

Qualifications (Must Haves)
  • An extensive background in aerospace static stress engineering with experience in static analysis of aircraft structures using a range of hand and computer methods.

  • Currently hold or previously held static strength approval delegated signature.

  • Knowledge and experience on both metallic and composite structures, with an understanding of the static strength behaviours (e.g. loading, failure modes) of aircraft structures.

  • An understanding of airworthiness regulations and the ability to decide, with a good rationale, how the repair design affects the static strength of aircraft structure.
