ALTEN LTD - UK, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a Stress Analysis Engineer to join the Derby team. The role focuses on analysing aerospace components and engine systems, employing ANSYS and LS-DYNA, and delivering validated design outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of relevant experience, a degree in Engineering, and a strong ability to interpret technical drawings and produce clarity reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in stress or structural analysis in aerospace or automotive environments.
• Proficiency with ANSYS for finite element analysis.
• Experience using LS-DYNA for explicit dynamics, impact, or non-linear simulations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design data, and technical specifications.
• Strong technical reporting and problem-solving skills.

As a Stress Analysis Engineer you will join the Derby team to support our activities within the aerospace sector.

Overview

We are seeking a Stress Analysis Engineer to support the analysis and modelling of complex aerospace engineering components within a highly technical environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced rotating equipment and engine systems, contributing to critical engineering assessments, technical reviews, and design validation activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to apply their structural and stress analysis expertise to challenging aerospace applications while working alongside experienced multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Typically 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Abaqus.
• Knowledge of composite material analysis.
• Previous experience analysing rotating equipment, engine components, or similar high-performance systems.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.
