A prominent football charity is seeking a Street Reds Community Coach to deliver engaging football coaching sessions and youth activities in disadvantaged areas. This casual role offers flexible hours, focusing on developing young people through sports in the community, and requires a minimum FA Level 1 coaching qualification. Ideal candidates should be passionate about youth development and have experience in engaging with children and teenagers.
Location: Bolton, Rochdale, Glossopdale, Stockport
The Manchester United Foundation works in some of the most disadvantaged areas across Bolton, Rochdale, Glossopdale & Stockport, taking Manchester United to the heart of the community. The Street Reds project uses the power of football to give young people an opportunity to pursue their interest in playing, leading, and coaching the game as well as supporting the participation in educational and diversionary activities. These free sessions are aimed at young people aged 8-18 and promote inclusivity, provide regular physical activity opportunities and the ability to feel valued as part of a group. Enriching the lives of those who might become isolated. The sessions assist in developing a range of soft skills, increasing social mobility through inter‑project tournaments, employment and volunteer opportunities.
The main responsibility of the role is to support the delivery of the Street Reds community programme through football coaching and youth engagement activities on evening projects.
