Reporting to the Head of Strategy for Cigna Global Individual Health (GIH), the Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the global strategic growth agenda for Cigna’s International Health (GIH) business.
This role is responsible for defining and executing market development strategies, identifying prioritized customer segments, and articulating Cigna’s competitive advantage across diverse geographies. Working closely with regional sales leaders and subject matter experts, the Strategy Manager will craft commercial strategies that align with macroeconomic trends, portfolio performance insights, and evolving stakeholder needs. A key aspect of the role involves interpreting global macro‑trends—such as expatriate mobility and wealth migration—to uncover strategic opportunities and mitigate risks, ensuring GIH remains ahead of the curve in a dynamic global health landscape.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, able to translate complex data and foresight into actionable plans. They will lead the annual strategic planning process, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and scenario modelling. Additionally, they will develop compelling communications for senior leadership and foster cross‑functional alignment to drive execution.
A global mindset, commercial acumen, and cultural sensitivity are essential, as is a passion for innovation and a keen understanding of emerging health technologies and their potential impact on the business.
