Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking a Strategic Production Lead to shape the long‑term strategy for producing and moving water across our regional network, balancing demand, asset capability, cost, environmental commitments and regulatory requirements.

You will turn cross‑functional insight into clear priorities and practical plans, influence major operational and investment decisions, and lead improvements to Production Planning while building trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinking to anticipate risk and opportunity and convert long-term objectives into actionable plans.
• Strong leadership, influencing and negotiation skills to align diverse priorities.
• Experience in complex operational, infrastructure, utilities or regulated environments.
• Ability to understand connected systems, interpret data and explain strategic issues clearly.
• Proven track record of improving processes, ownership, and new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Shaping a long-term strategy for producing and moving water across the region, balancing demand, assets, cost and environmental commitments.
• Bringing together insight from across the business to identify future risks, constraints and opportunities and turning them into priorities and practical plans.
• Influencing major operational and investment decisions so that today’s choices support a resilient, efficient and sustainable water system.
• Leading improvements to Production Planning, creating clearer processes, better data use and stronger links between strategy and day-to-day operations.
• Building trusted relationships across operational, technical and strategic teams, resolving competing priorities and giving clear recommendations.
• Tracking performance and benefits to show the strategy delivers the right outcomes for customers, environment and business.
