Job summary

NHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director to work with the Postgraduate Dean in delivering a wide range of functions within their specialty, aligned to the NHS England mandate.

A specialty Training Programme Director (TPD) is a member of the Speciality Training Committee (STC) who is managerially responsible to the Postgraduate Dean for the delivery of training in that specialty according to the standards set by the GMC and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Responsibilities

• Support the Postgraduate Dean in delivering training across the specialty, aligned to the NHS England mandate.
• Lead the Training Programme Director role within the Specialty Training Committee and ensure GMC/Royal College standards are met.
• Coordinate with colleagues to manage the fixed-term contract and onboarding processes.
