Job summary

JAM is seeking two Supply Chain Managers for a 12-month contract in the North West. Roles involve leading end-to-end supply chain activities across programmes, delivering cost-effective, compliant materials and services with on-site engagement 3–4 days a week.

You will lead strategy development, supplier performance, risk mitigation and cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to meet programme commitments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in supply chain, procurement, supplier management or related environment.
• Proven experience managing suppliers and resolving complex supply chain issues.
• Experience operating in a regulated or technically demanding organisation.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Experience using data, KPIs and performance analysis to drive decisions and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead supply chain management activities across programmes, projects or product areas.
• Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure suppliers meet cost, quality, delivery and performance targets.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance to deliver requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints and single-source dependencies.
• Lead or support supplier improvement and recovery plans when needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma.
