Job summary

The AA in Basingstoke is recruiting a Strategic Supplier & Commercial Manager to drive best value from strategic supplier relationships. Working in the Procurement function, you will combine commercial thinking with supplier relationship management to improve performance and manage risks across third-party spend.

You will lead through complex contracts, negotiate favorable terms, and partner with senior stakeholders to align sourcing with business priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial procurement expertise across supplier management, sourcing, contracting and lifecycle.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships to deliver value.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop relationships with strategic suppliers; lead business reviews and manage performance, risks, opportunities and actions.
• Lead contract renewals, negotiations, amendments and supplier exits while ensuring service continuity.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, efficiencies and revenue through supplier relationships.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to shape sourcing and supplier strategies and provide market insight.
• Monitor supplier performance with meaningful metrics and market intelligence, driving improvement.
• Support supplier governance and risk management in line with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
