Job summary

Bensons For Beds is seeking a Commercial Ranging & Space Optimization specialist to develop store plans, support openings and refits, and work with Commercial, Retail Operations, VM and Supply Chain to optimise space and create on-brand experiences.

You will analyse store-level performance, tailor ranges, track metrics like Sales per Square Foot, and lead space planning initiatives across large-format retail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in space planning or branch merchandising within large-format retail.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret space and financial metrics.
• Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain store plans and layouts for openings, refits and relocations.
• Analyse store performance to create precise product range plans and store grading.
• Track Sales per Square Foot and Profit per Square Foot at category/product level.
• Identify underperforming displays and propose layout or product swaps to improve conversion.
• Collaborate with Commercial, VM, Marketing, and Buying to reflect planograms and adjacencies in layouts.
• Prepare reports with cost and timeline estimates for stakeholders.
