Job summary

Chain IQ, a global AI-driven procurement partner, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Lead for Professional Services in London. You will architect sourcing strategies across consultancy, advisory, tax, audit, resourcing, and legal, leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder engagements to unlock value and drive performance.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent.
• MCIPS desirable certification is a plus.
• 5–10 years of sourcing experience across categories.
• Proven knowledge of Professional Services and value-driven sourcing.
• Experience running large multi-million, global deals and tender processes.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Lead assigned sourcing initiatives, from routine renewals to strategic purchases, with minimal oversight.
• Conduct market tenders and manage evaluations across cross-functional teams to select suppliers.
• Understand business requirements and structure deals to meet those needs.
• Negotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms.
• Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions.
• Maintain market awareness for assigned categories and contribute to sourcing plans.
• Adhere to Chain IQ sourcing tools and processes in delivery of initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to deliver client savings and improve sourcing efficiency.
• Mentor and coach junior team members on complex deals when required.

Role Purpose:

Are you a visionary sourcing expert with a passion for transforming how organisations look at their Professional Services requirements? At Chain IQ, we're looking for a bold, strategic Professional Services Subject Matter Expert with deep Consultancy, Advisory and interim labour expertise to join our Professional Services Sourcing team and help redefine the way these services are delivered across the globe, within our Clients.

In this high-impact role, you won’t just manage sourcing initiatives — you’ll architect them. Your primary focus will include Consultancy, Advisory, Tax, Audit, Resourcing (temporary and perm) and Legal. You will work as part of a team responsible for delivering the whole Professional Services category, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external clients to craft sourcing strategies that unlock value, spark innovation, and elevate operational performance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
• Leading assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale from routine renewals to more strategic purchases, under own initiative with minimal oversight required
• Conducting market tenders and managing the evaluation across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection
• Understanding business requirements and structuring deals to meet those requirements
• Negotiating deals to achieve optimal commercial terms
• Drafting contracts based on standard terms and conditions
• Maintaining market awareness for assigned categories, leveraging experience to contribute to sourcing area plans and opportunity assessments
• Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to deliver savings for Clients and drive benefits through smarter/efficient sourcing
• Mentoring/coaching less experienced team members and supporting them in more complex deals as required

Requirements:

• Educated to University standard or equivalent – MCIPS desirable
• Minimum 5-10 yrs experience in sourcing across specific categories
• Demonstrates proven market knowledge of Professional Services, with skills to apply knowledge to drive maximum value for clients
• Proven capability of running large multi-million / complex global deals, including all aspects of the tender process
• Hands on approach for deal execution, manage deals end to end on their own with minimal oversight
• Highly organised and results driven, can lead a cross-functional team
• Client/stakeholder focus within the corporate environment with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders
• Experienced negotiator and excellent communication skills
• Ability to structure complex deals and develop sourcing strategies
• Experience in understanding contracts and ability in contract drafting, with limited requirement for specialist legal support. Ability to manage multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results
