Job summary

Peregrine is seeking a Solution Architect in Dorset to define and govern end-to-end technology solutions within a complex operational environment. You will shape architecture from initial engagement through deployment and acceptance, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with business needs.

Working with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Delivery and commercial stakeholders, you will be the technical authority for solution design and integration, delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or Technical Architecture roles.
• Strong understanding of systems integration, distributed systems and end-to-end solution design.
• Experience defining non-functional requirements including security, scalability, resilience, maintainability and performance.
• Ability to create and maintain architecture documentation, solution designs and technical standards.
• Experience supporting technical bids, customer engagements and solution assessments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical teams, customers and senior leaders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Experience working across the full solution lifecycle from concept through to operational acceptance.
• Demonstrable experience identifying and managing technical risks, assumptions and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Define and assure end-to-end solutions across software, infrastructure and third-party integrations.
• Act as the technical authority for solution architecture, systems integration and key technical decisions.
• Capture and translate business, regulatory and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Establish and maintain architecture artefacts, technical standards and solution documentation.
• Support bids, tenders and customer engagements by assessing technical feasibility and solution fit.
• Lead technical reviews, governance activities and solution approval processes.
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and architectural challenges throughout delivery.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
