Job summary

AEGIS London is seeking a proactive Risk Manager to support the Head of Risk in embedding and enhancing the Risk Management Framework across the business. You will identify, assess and report key risks, ensuring regulatory alignment with Lloyd's, PRA and FCA expectations.

Working in the second line of defence, you will lead risk reporting, maintain risk and control registers, and contribute to ORSA, stress testing and risk appetite development, while collaborating with underwriting and other

Qualifications

• Risk management experience across key Lloyd's/London Market risk types.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication; able to present to senior management.
• Experience working with underwriting teams and business functions in insurance operations.
• Proactive, highly organized, analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiar with prudential regulatory requirements (Lloyd’s, PRA, Solvency II).

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Risk in maintaining and enhancing the Risk Management Framework.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality risk reporting for committees and external stakeholders.
• Maintain risk registers and associated control documentation.
• Facilitate a robust Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across functions.
• Lead risk event reporting and incident monitoring.
• Support updating risk policies and risk appetite statements.
• Develop and refine risk appetite, tolerances and key risk indicators.
• Embed operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Assist ORSA processes and risk input to business planning.
• Engage with regulators and coordinate communication with the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.
