Job summary

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead end‑to‑end procurement strategy from our Chesterfield head office. You will own a £20m spend across direct materials and indirect services, shaping supplier relationships and contract governance.

In this senior role, you will drive cost efficiencies, oversee strategic sourcing initiatives and collaborate with operations, finance and engineering to support business objectives and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management with multi‑million spend.
• Strong supplier relationship management and performance oversight.
• Strategic sourcing across direct materials and indirect services.
• Contract drafting, negotiation and governance experience.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work cross‑functionally.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies for direct materials and indirect services.
• Manage a £20m spend portfolio across key categories.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and onboarding processes.
• Oversee contract creation, review and management, including renewals.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and engineering to forecast demand.
