Job description

Butler Ross are pleased to be supporting our client, a leading services and solutions provider to the marine and offshore industry, in their search for a highly capable Strategic Purchasing Lead (prior experience in this sector is not required!) This is an excited opportunity for an individual looking to make a real impact at an organisation, where you can see clear results in the work you perform - as you will be taking the lead managing complex supplier relationships and contractual negotiations.

The salary on offer for this position ranges from £55,000 - £60,000, plus benefits such as private medical and solid pension contributions. The role will operate on a hybrid-working basis, with time to be split between their office (Bournemouth area), home-working, and supplier visits - the model of which is open to discussion.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories, focusing on long-term value creation.

• Leading supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, effectively managing supplier performance.
• Monitoring and managing supply chain risks, market trends and cost factors.
• Managing internal stakeholders and collaborating across teams to align procurement strategies and project requirements.
• Driving continuous improvement across the organisation, especially procurement processes, tools, and supplier performance.
