Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Purchasing Administrator in Runcorn for a leading health supplements manufacturer. You will support daily procurement activities, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to maintain pricing and delivery schedules, while ensuring accurate goods receipt and timely responses to queries.

You will raise POs with MRP guidance, schedule deliveries, and chase approvals to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing/ procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Raise Purchase Orders with the aid of MRP and track progress to delivery status.
• Schedule deliveries with suppliers and hauliers and share information with logistics.
• Receipt goods in and resolve queries.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries.
• Liaise with suppliers over incorrect or damaged deliveries.
• Inform internal teams of delays affecting production start dates.
• Chase approvals and handle queries promptly.
• Manage non-stock and consumable inventories, including adjustments.
• Meet with suppliers to discuss present and future requirements.
• Liaise with the Procurement Manager on new suppliers and materials and initiate basic questionnaires.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of supplies and materials.
• Engage with NPD/Sales regarding supply coordination.
