Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Production Manager for a permanent role at the Mond Nickel Refinery near Swansea. This senior position reports to the UK Operations Manager and leads the Production department within Vale’s Upper Tier COMAH site.

You will drive safe, reliable operations, develop people and capability, manage cost budgets and drive continual improvement while engaging regulators, customers and suppliers to maximise throughput and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing teams and delivering performance.
• Experience operating at a strategic level within a major hazard environment.
• Demonstrable experience in COMAH-regulated settings and process safety leadership.
• Experience leading change and operational transformation.
• Ability to build capability and coach for performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient and reliable operation of refinery production assets.
• Develop people and capability within the Production department.
• Manage budgets, resources and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage regulators, customers and suppliers to maximise throughput and minimise risk.
• Act as a senior leader within Vale Base Metals and drive strategic initiatives.
