Job summary

Navantia UK in Methil is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations for major subcontracts, equipment, consumables and services.

You will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and align procurement with project schedules in a fast-paced coastal operations environment. Experience in heavy industry and ERP proficiency are preferred, with BPSS clearance noted as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in heavy industry (engineering, manufacturing or construction).
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management and supplier evaluation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and engage with key suppliers, negotiating terms for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships to deliver value and efficiency.
• Support sustainability and cost-saving initiatives through effective supply chain management.
• Negotiate contracts, including pricing, service levels and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day procurement activities ensuring timely, cost-effective acquisitions.
• Work with project teams to align procurement with production schedules.
