Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Ltd is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead high-value sourcing activity and shape category strategies for Heat Exchanger, Tank & Accumulator. The role requires managing deeply technical supplier relationships and coaching a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers in a hybrid, UK-based setting.

You will report to a Senior Category Manager and influence commercial strategy across regulated, safety-conscious supply chains while driving continuous improvement and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex engineered procurement, ideally in power, nuclear, energy, aerospace or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong commercial acumen with track record in strategic sourcing and lengthy negotiations.
• Ability to interpret technical, commercial and financial information to present clear recommendations.
• Experience in regulated or highly technical supply chains.
• Strong planning, organisation and project management capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for high-value manufacturing and engineering contracts.
• Coach and develop a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers.
• Establish cross-functional sourcing teams with Engineering, Programme Delivery, Safety, Quality and Operations.
• Lead commercial negotiations for long-term manufacturing frameworks and complex contracts.
• Provide market insight and supplier capability assessments and strategic direction.
