Job summary

First Recruitment Group seeks a Strategic Procurement Advisor to support the Professional Services category within their Global Corporate Procurement Team in Leeds. The role is staff-based with hybrid working, two days per week in the office, and travel as required.

You will manage a portfolio of Professional Services contracts, drive compliance with policies, and support staff through CIPS qualifications as part of professional development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard procurement procedures and practices.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and multi-task.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-facing skills.
• Experience with ERP/e-procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, SAP Ariba) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Soliciting competitive quotations, prices, or tenders from potential suppliers.
• Receiving and evaluating bids.
• Preparing purchase recommendations.
• Review contractual terms with category managers/legal as required.
• Initiate, issue, and administer purchase orders and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with procurement requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to meet current needs and explore opportunities.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to support future opportunities.
• There may be limited travel within the UK and overseas.
