Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a Planning Manager to lead planning strategy within the Land & Mineral Resources team. Based at Breedon Head Office or Raisby site, you will own compliance with planning permissions and drive opportunities from appraisal to delivery.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, provide practical advice, and communicate with internal stakeholders and external bodies, ensuring the plan-led system is applied and permissions secured for estate development.

Qualifications

• Experience in land promotion and plan-led planning processes.
• Professional membership or progress toward chartership.
• Background in development, minerals, rural estates, utilities or similar land-based sectors.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and interpret planning documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead on site promotion and local plan consultations.
• Ensure compliance with extant planning permissions.
• Collaborate to deliver planning, property, environmental and sustainability advice to internal stakeholders.
• Lead planning strategy from appraisal through to permission and delivery.
• Engage with the business, stakeholders and community to explain proposals.
• Procure planning and environmental support and manage budgets and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and health & safety obligations.
• Identify surplus property for disposal and maintain GIS/estate records.
