Carrington Blake Recruitment is recruiting a Payroll Manager for a major London borough. The role leads the payroll and pensions function for around 2,600 employees, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery and acting as the subject matter expert on payroll matters.

You will manage a dedicated team, drive service improvements, oversee end-to-end processing through Oracle Payroll, HMRC submissions and pension schemes, and support a wider payroll transformation programme.

Qualifications

• CIPP qualification or extensive experience managing an end-to-end payroll function in a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, pensions and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing payroll teams.
• Experience using Oracle Payroll or a comparable enterprise payroll system.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure monthly payroll is accurate, timely and compliant.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex payroll and pension enquiries.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing through Oracle Payroll.
• Manage HMRC submissions and statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead year-end activities (P60s, P11Ds) and associated compliance processes.
