The primary function of the Strategic Partnership Manager in Advanced Wound Care is to provide value-based solutions to drive Convatec growth and profitability in the evolving NHS environment. Through partnership with senior clinical and commercial stakeholders across the ICS, the SPM is responsible for gaining market access to Convatec products through first-line inclusion on regional formularies and tenders.

This is a field-based role with a company car and approximately 90% customer facing. There are two openings in the following territories:

Strategic Partnership Manager - South East England

Strategic Partnership Manager - East Midlands

Responsibilities
  • Maximise territory performance by achieving and surpassing defined sales targets and broader performance goals
  • Drive revenue and growth through identification and delivery of new opportunities across the ICB and Provider landscape
  • Manage territory profitability with responsibility for local profit growth at the appropriate currency and percentage levels
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic ICS-wide plans aligned to sales objectives to increase revenue and market share
  • Engage in key account management to build trusted relationships with ICS C-suite executives, Senior ICB Leaders, local providers and wider system stakeholders
  • Build NHS knowledge and understanding of structures, initiatives, challenges and priorities at national and local levels
  • Maintain customer focus for senior clinical and non-clinical customers across the ICB landscape including ICB, Providers, Place-based partnerships, PCN and local authorities
  • Conduct investigative research to generate insights by understanding operational, financial and clinical needs and provide Convatec solutions
  • Establish Convatec as a trusted partner for safe, effective and innovative wound care solutions to the NHS
  • Collaborate across functions of UKI and wider business to achieve Convatec objectives
  • Develop and deliver value-based procurement initiatives and commercial growth models
  • Track and report sales performance and pipeline
  • Utilise CRM for account management, targeting and segmentation, analytics and lead generation
About You
  • High-level selling skills to deliver effective calls across a diverse range of customers in complex negotiations
  • Excellent communicator with product expertise and commercial benefits relevant to the ICS
  • Understanding of price and profitability to support Convatec UKI P&L
  • Multi-role sales experience including direct selling, influencing and customer relationship management
  • Consistent high sales performance with a proven track record
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret data for decision-making and delivering results
  • Ability to lead projects and set own objectives
  • Capability to balance long- and short-term business goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and networking ability
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Understanding of NHS structure, strategies and priorities and up-to-date NHS terminology
  • Experience driving product access within the NHS to grow business
  • Experience working with diverse people to influence and achieve outcomes
  • Delivery of results under tight deadlines
  • Commercial acumen and financial accountability in budget and resource planning
  • Good IT knowledge (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • English language at mother-tongue level or high proficiency in writing and speaking
  • Full driving license and ability to work in the UKI
