Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Nursing - Education and Development to provide strategic direction for registered nurses, nursing associates and support workers. The role leads education, practice improvement, policy development, research, and workforce development across the Trust.

Working with the Deputy Chief Nurse, the post holder will establish standards of nursing practice, promote education and development, and oversee governance structures to improve safety and quality

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with leadership experience in education and development.
• Experience in developing nursing practice, education and governance.
• Ability to lead strategic workforce development across a Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for nurses and nursing staff.
• Lead education and development, practice improvement, and clinical standards.
• Collaborate with University partners and oversee policy development.
• Advise executive leadership on nursing strategy and governance.
• Manage budget for nursing education and coordinate annual spending.
