Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to lead a defined portfolio of healthcare contracts. The role emphasises negotiation, implementation, performance monitoring and risk management within NHS guidelines, reporting to the Head of Contract Management.

You will develop contract management processes, provide expert advice to clinical, operational and finance colleagues, and manage a Band 7 Contract Manager while deputising for the Head of Contract

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management within the NHS or a large, complex organisation.
• Extensive experience leading on contract negotiation, drafting and monitoring.
• Understanding of NHS standard contracts and national tariff guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract management for a defined portfolio of healthcare contracts.
• Negotiate, draft, implement and monitor contracts in line with NHS guidance and procurement regulations.
• Monitor contract performance using KPIs and financial data to inform decisions.
• Provide expert contractual advice to internal stakeholders and finance colleagues.
• Develop contract management processes and standard operating procedures.
• Provide line management to the Band 7 Contract Manager and deputise for the Head of Contract Management as required.
