Job summary

BioMarin in London seeks a Senior Medical Director to lead early clinical development across one or more assets, from first-in-human to proof of concept, ensuring scientific rigor and strategic clarity across study design and development strategy.

You will guide Phase 1/2 trials, collaborate with Biomarkers, Clinical Pharmacology, and Regulatory, and mentor the Early Clinical Development team while engaging health authorities and external experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical development plans for full development of assets, focusing on first-in-human to POC studies and subsequent development milestones.
• Lead the clinical development team for assets from research through human POC studies.
• Provide scientific and clinical leadership across multiple assets, balancing priorities and resources.
• Make recommendations at development and governance decision points considering safety, efficacy, and risk-benefit.
