Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant in Scarborough to influence business decisions through insightful reporting. The role blends management accounting, financial analysis and leadership within a collaborative environment.

You will deliver timely management information, support wider financial operations and help drive efficiency across finance processes with a Fractional Finance Director.

Qualifications

• Experience producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Ability to interpret financial data and present to non-finance colleagues.
• Experience leading or supporting a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Produce budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections for planning.
• Analyse performance and provide commercially focused commentary.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to monitor costs and inform decisions.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy of reports.
• Lead and develop a small finance team and support year-end processes.
• Identify efficiency opportunities through improved reporting and automation.
