Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Psychological Workforce and Training. You will provide senior clinical psychology leadership, oversee doctoral training arrangements, and collaborate with NHSE and commissioners across sites.

The role requires extensive experience in complex healthcare settings, governance, and workforce improvements, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology or equivalent.
• Registered with HCPC as Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
• Eligible for Chartered Membership of the BPS.
• Clinical supervision training for doctoral trainees.
• Extensive experience as a qualified psychologist including leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior professional leadership and governance for doctoral clinical psychology training and collaboration with NHSE.
• Lead workforce or service improvement programmes and manage complex change.
• Oversee budgets, funded training allocations, contracts and procurement.
• Collaborate with education and training providers to support placement quality and learning environments.
