Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Director of Clinical Governance & Effectiveness to lead Trust-wide clinical governance, audit, effectiveness, and regulatory assurance. The role reports to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer and shapes learning into measurable care improvements.

You will oversee intelligence from audits, incidents, complaints, patient experience, safeguarding and mortality to identify risks and opportunities for improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with significant senior leadership experience in the NHS or a comparable healthcare setting.
• Strong background in clinical governance, clinical effectiveness, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust's clinical governance and clinical effectiveness framework.
• Strengthen quality intelligence triangulation to support assurance and improvement.
• Provide leadership for regulatory compliance and readiness, including CQC assessments.
• Lead Culture of Learning Framework to translate learning into sustainable improvement.
• Provide clear, evidence-based quality and governance assurance to senior leaders and the Board.
