Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced IT Test Lead to shape testing strategy across a diverse portfolio of projects, upgrades and service improvements. You will define governance, standards and tools, provide guidance to teams and suppliers, and ensure readiness for release while managing risk.

• Significant experience leading testing activities across complex technology projects.
• Strong understanding of test lifecycle management and risk-based testing methodologies.
• Ability to define testing governance, standards and templates for multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for testing and quality assurance across projects, releases and service changes.
• Develop and maintain testing governance, standards, frameworks, processes, templates and tools for others to follow.
• Provide training, guidance and coaching so teams can apply the agreed testing approach effectively.
• Provide independent oversight, quality assurance reporting, risk assessments and readiness recommendations.
