Job summary

National Highways seeks an IT Commercial Category Manager within the Digital Services Procurement team. You will support procurement strategy, requirements definition, total cost of ownership, value delivery and supplier management across large contracts.

The role includes negotiating and commercially managing contracts, developing market strategies, and collaborating with suppliers to deliver value and cost reductions. Some UK travel to regional offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering procurement and commercial services in a large technology-focused environment.
• Understanding of regulated (PCR2015 & PA2023) procurement and legal processes.
• Ability to work in high-performing teams and drive culture change.

Responsibilities

• Assume commercial responsibility for your category and develop sourcing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Procurement team, stakeholders and suppliers to deliver commercial outcomes.
• Develop, review, negotiate and execute allocated contracts and manage related suppliers; drive best value.
