Overview

We have an exciting role on offer within our Growth service as a Strategic Investment and Funding Manager.

Middlesbrough Council’s Regeneration directorate requires a skilled and commercially‑competent individual to lead on the management and oversight of the council’s most significant commercial and investment interests as a means to drive regeneration.

Responsibilities

This new role within the Growth and Assets service requires a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee the performance of Middlesbrough’s strategic investment asset portfolio, coordinate income‑generating commercial services within the Regeneration Department, and maximise external funding opportunities.

The applicant will require significant experience in complex matters such as legal agreements and contracts, development appraisals, and advanced financial modelling for investment. The role demands the ability to be conversant with professional disciplines at an advanced level.

The post will be a pivotal part of the management team for the Growth and Assets Service reporting to the Head of Growth and Assets and working collaboratively to ensure the council’s vision, goals and core values are translated into action through the delivery of the council’s regeneration objectives.

Qualifications

Experience in legal agreements and contracts, development appraisals, advanced financial modelling, and engagement with professional disciplines at an advanced level.

Required Experience: Manager level experience.

Remuneration

Full‑time. Monthly Salary: £54,495 – £59,887. Vacancy: 1.
