Job summary

Simplyhealth is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead risk-based audits across the Group, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit. You will drive assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls, while supporting the development of the Internal Audit Strategy and Plan.

You will work with senior stakeholders to challenge processes, identify improvements, and promote a strong control environment within a regulated financial services context.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in Internal Audit, Risk or Assurance.
• Proven track record of independently planning and delivering end-to-end audits.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, business processes and internal control frameworks.
• Understanding of financial services regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Analytical and inquisitive mindset; ability to make sound judgements independently.
• Experience using data and insight to support audit and assurance activities.
• Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, risk-based internal audits from scope to reporting.
• Assess governance, risk management and control frameworks across the Group.
• Produce concise audit reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Support delivery of the annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan and Strategy.
• Monitor audit actions and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous improvement.
• Maintain and enhance audit methodologies, tools and QA processes.
• Coach and develop colleagues within Internal Audit; promote independence.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders while maintaining objectivity.
