Job summary

DOT Partners is seeking an Interim Senior Finance Manager in Greater Manchester to lead day-to-day financial operations during a period of change. The role is a 6-month contract with hybrid working and an immediate start, offering autonomy and exposure to senior leadership.

You will own the monthly management accounts, oversee the balance sheet, support budgeting and forecasting, and develop the finance team. Previous interim/contract experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience at Finance Manager or Financial Controller level.
• Strong technical accounting and management reporting skills.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment with reporting requirements.
• Experience supervising or developing finance staff.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to influence and challenge senior colleagues when needed.
• Interim/contract experience advantageous; able to start on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of monthly management accounts and reporting cycle.
• Deliver accurate financial information, analysis and commentary to support decisions.
• Oversee balance sheet, reconciliations and key financial controls.
• Manage reporting across a multi-entity business.
• Support cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee transactional finance activities and day-to-day processes.
• Provide guidance to finance team with 3 direct reports.
• Review processes and identify efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial visibility.
• Support year-end requirements, compliance and external audits.
• Provide financial insight and challenge to the senior leadership team.
