About this opportunity

As a Strategic Insights Assistant in the Future Workplace team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workplace strategy through data-driven insights. This position involves gathering, evaluating, and deciphering information about real estate efficiency, occupancy patterns, and space usage to guide key decisions and improve workplace efficiency.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and models for senior leadership, guiding property investments and workplace strategies. By tracking important metrics such as occupancy levels, workstation expenses, and spatial utilization, you can pinpoint various opportunities to improve operational efficiency and employee happiness.

In this role, you'll be supporting the Strategic Insights Team in the delivery of strategic insights that inform property and occupancy decisions across the organisation. This includes leveraging data analytics, space utilisation metrics, and business intelligence tools to support portfolio optimisation, workplace planning, and executive decision-making.

Collaborating with the Workplace, Human Resources, Financial, and Technology teams, you'll guarantee that occupancy insights are in sync with workforce planning and business goals. You'll also coordinate scenarios and predictions to forecast forthcoming spatial requirements, assisting in consolidation, expansion, and adaptable work setups.

This position demands adept skills in translating intricate data into engaging stories for non-technical audiences, guaranteeing that valuable insights steer impactful decisions. Maintain and improve data models, ensure data integrity in IWMS, CAFM, and HR systems, and integrate new tech for better analytics. Staying ahead of industry benchmarks and emerging analytics practices will be key to driving continuous improvement and innovation in workplace analytics.

Day to day you'll:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to property performance, occupancy trends, and space utilisation.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for strategic planning and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs such as occupancy rates, cost per workstation, and space efficiency.
  • Support scenario planning for property consolidation, expansion, and hybrid working strategies, conducting forecast and trend analysis to anticipate future space needs and workforce patterns, and providing evidence-based recommendations to support investment decisions and workplace transformation.
  • Partner with Workplace, HR, Finance, and Tech teams to align occupancy insights with workforce and business strategies.
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders to enable the findings and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Maintain and enhance data models and tools used for occupancy and property analytics, ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and data sources to improve insight capabilities, identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies.
  • Stay informed on industry benchmarks, workplace trends, and emerging analytics practices.
