Job summary

The Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an HR Manager to lead a professional HR service within a growing education organisation. You will oversee the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, absence management, performance management, payroll administration, and HR compliance.

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will provide expert HR advice to managers and drive continuous improvement across HR processes.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR professional with strong generalist HR expertise.
• Proven experience managing employee relations cases and advising managers.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice and HR systems.
• CIPD qualification desirable (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee relations casework.
• Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, safer recruitment and induction processes.
• Coordinate performance management, probation, attendance management and staff wellbeing initiatives.
• Oversee HR systems, employee records, reporting and workforce data analysis.
• Support organisational change projects, restructures, consultations and workforce planning activities.
• Liaise with payroll, occupational health, legal advisors and external HR partners.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, employment law, data protection and regulatory requirements.
• Line manage HR team members and drive continuous improvement of HR processes and service delivery.
